Language Integrated Query (LINQ, pronounced "link") is a Microsoft .NET Framework component that adds native data querying capabilities to .NET languages, although ports exist for Java, PHP and JavaScript.

LINQ defines a set of method names (called standard query operators, or standard sequence operators), along with translation rules from so-called query expressions to expressions using these method names, lambda expressions and anonymous types. These can, for example, be used to project and filter data into arrays, enumerable classes, XML (LINQ to XML), relational databases, and third party data sources. Other uses, which use query expressions as a general framework for composing readable arbitrary computations, include the construction of event handlers or monadic parsers.

Many of the concepts that LINQ has introduced were originally tested in Microsoft's Cω research project. LINQ was released as a part of .NET Framework 3.5 on November 19, 2007.

LINQ  is learnt for jobs and employment by the students of computer training programs, courses, diplomas, degrees like B.C.A., B.Sc (IT), B.A. (Computer), PGDCA, B.Tech and M.C.A. of various universities like Punjabi University, Punjab University, GNDU as well as P.T.U.  The distance learning students also take training of this topic. It’s taught by various computer centers and training institutes but CCIT institute is most preferred training institute in Ludhiana and the students consider in best training center in Punjab as well as among north of India. The students of B.Tech and MCA develop beautiful projects during their industrial training or project training. They also learn to enhance the employment and job prospects, enhance their skills or get a better job.
